...he is DJing since the early 80ies, very well known for his unique blend of Disco, House & Techno since the early 90ies.
...he was writing for SPEX magazine since 1987, and was an editor there from 1990 to 1993. Many other quality magazines and newspapers in Germany published his essays and reviews.
...he has produced at least eight albums and lost track of all the tracks and remixes he has released since 1992.
...in 1997, Whirlpool Productions, of which he is one third, shot to Number 1 in the Italian charts with the now timeless classic "From: Disco To: Disco".
...he published three books on DJ-Culture since 2001 ("Plus Minus 8" - Disco Days, Disco Nights", "Disko Ramallah and other strange places to play records at" and "DJ Dionysos - Stories From The Discoworld"), to great critical and public acclaim.
...he had a weekly live radio mix show on popular german station WDR 1Live from 2003 to 2015, every wednesday at midnight.
...he lectured at lots of universities, academies and what have you, on a wide range of popcultural topics.
...he was artistic director of the Institut für Pop-Musik of the Folkwang University of the Arts from its opening in 2014 until the end of 2019, when he relocated to Seoul, South Korea.
